Hyeyon’s work explores moments of quiet suspension—where meaning pauses before taking form. Her practice is informed by a long-standing curiosity about structure and meaning, shaped through reading, translation, and an ongoing personal engagement with language and classical texts. Her background in design and early encounters with East Asian painting shape how she approaches composition, surface, and balance.
Working primarily with acrylic and mixed media, she attends to subtle shifts in rhythm, layering, and the spaces between forms. Rather than fixed narratives, her work holds space for states of transition—moments that remain unresolved and gently unfolding.
